8 cross country competition tomorrow runners from S.A. – 5 Ladies and 3 Men. Ronelle Botha (55) will be competing in her first world champs, and is a seasoned provincial cross country athlete (CGMA) who has competed in 3 S.A. Cross Country Champs. Frances van Blerk (60) a seasoned road (and Ladies Comrades winner in 1992) and cross country runner from GN, has competed in numerous World Champs and has medalled in the cross country and road events.
We wish all our athletes competing tomorrow in the first round heats of the 100m sprints, and long hurdles - 400m hurdles and 300m hurdles, as well as numerous other field events - everything of the best.
